RE: Tekonsha Voyager problems

I bet you had the same problem I did. One of the wires in the plug on the adapter harness is in the wrong slot. I had to move it to the right slot...then it worked fine. Let me get the links for the plugs and i will let you know what wire exactly to move. Here is the link to the plug... http://www.tekonsha.com/files/Product%20Bulletin%20-%2020020013.pdf You have to move the red wire. If you look at the plug in the link you can see where you need to move it. To remove the wire in the plug, you have to first remove the blue retaining clip that holds all the wires. None of the wires will fall out when you take this clip off. Then look at the botton of the plug and take a small screwdriver or something similar to prey back the plastic retaining pin for the red wire. After you have the wire out, simply plug it into the right slot. LMK if you need anymore help.

RE: Dishnet Questions

I never even put it in the TT. It was left on a poll outside of the house. I simply ran my coax from it through the window in my HOUSE, to the reciver in my daughters room. It then turns the power off on the reciver by itself. I cant get to a screen to tell it what kind of dish I have...when I click on the buttons in the menu, the screen gets all crazy and you can only see about 1/2 of the picture and it freezes there. Then after about 15-20 seconds it shuts the power off.

Dishnet Questions

I have an old Dish 500 dish which I own, and currently not using. I also own a newer reciever which we use in my daughters room in our home. Im wanting to use that dish and reciever in our TT. So today I hooked it all up at our house. And once I turn everything on...the reciever keeps shutting the power off. After a few time of this happening, it will stay on. I then press the menu button to go in so I can do a check switch test and check the signal strangth. As soon as I click on the test switch button the screen freezes, and you can only see bits and pieces of it. Then it shuts off the power again. So my question is....anyone have an idea why it keeps shutting the power off? It works fine in the house. Also are the older dish's compatable with newer recievers? Thanks in advanced.

RE: Help ! 2001 Tahoe 5.3 L with Random Misfire Code P300

Try looking on fullsizechevy.com I believe there is some more info on it there. Also that website is more streamlined to your chevy truck. Good luck.

RE: Am I OK with this tow set-up?

What engine, gears and wheel base is the trailblazer? Also you will need some type of towing mirrors. And a good tranny cooler would help as well. What is the weight of the TT? Can give you more help once those ?'s are answered. Also a good website for the Trailblazer/Envoy is trailvoy.com There is tons of info on your TB there.

RE: Chevy 8.1/3.73 vs. quadrasteer 6.0/4.10

The quadrasteer is a nice option. It does lower your towing capacity though. I have it on my Chevy and I love it. I wasnt sure how well I would be able to back it with the Quadrasteer....but it made it alot easier then I expected. As for the motor part of your question.......I dont know never owned the 6.0 or the 8.1.

RE: friend looking for half ton

I recently bought an 03 Chevy silverado Extended cab 4X4. Its an LT model, with quadrasteere and about every option you can get (leather, power everything, tow package, heated seats and mirrors etc...) I got it for a little over $17,000. This was with a trade in also...so if he doesnt have a trade in he can probably get some more off a truck.

RE: GMC fwd Acadia and Jayco 19h

I used on 04 GMC Envoy to tow our Jayco 19bh. Never had any trouble with it. You may want to look into a set of towing mirrors and an external tranny cooler. Im not exactly sure of the Arcadia's specs....but they are probably pretty similar to the Envoy/Trailblazer. Also our Envoy had the I6 with 3.42 gears. Enjoy your new camper and GMC.....

RE: What is my axle ratio?

Just for future reference.. For GM trucks..look in the glovebox. You will see a sticker with the RPO codes. GT4=3.73 GT5=4.10 GU6=3.42 G80=locking differential

RE: Questions about Dishnet for the TT

Im not worried about the local channels, mainly wanting it fo the kids at night. I read some stuff about some kind of switch....sw21 I think was what it was called. From what I read some people wil need it, some wont. How will I be able to tell if I will need it? As for the mounting...I might just have my brother make me a folding tripod.

Questions about Dishnet for the TT

I have a Dish 500 dish which we currently dont use at the house. I own this dish...and I also have a reciever here that my daughter uses and is connected to the rest of recivers in the house. I also own this reciver. We are wanting to take it with us for the kids at night. Can I just get a tripod for the dish, some coax cable and my daughters reciever and use that? Will I need anything else? Also how do I go about aligning the dish?

RE: Towing Funfinder with Envoy XL

I had an 04 Envoy with the I6 and 3.42 gears pulling a 3750 lbs dry weight camper. No problems what so ever. Just look into a tranny cooler for it. Also look on trailvoy.com as there is tos of info on the TB and Envoy there.

RE: 03 Chevy Silverado with Quadrasteer

I heard the option was $2000-$3000. I will probably keep the truck for a long time as the TT we have is the perfect size for us. And for a 1/2 ton truck....it will be a piece of cake to pull. Good to know that the Quadrasteer helps with backing.

RE: 03 Chevy Silverado with Quadrasteer

I saw it has 3 different modes for the Quadrasteer. Everyones reviews on other sites said it was good....but I wanted some real world feedback. Also anyone know if they had any major problems with the system? I bought an extended warranty through the dealer for the truck so alot of the parts on that system are covered........ Havent picked the truck up yet...picking it up tomorrow morning...they are detailing it and all right now.

03 Chevy Silverado with Quadrasteer

Well Im trading in our 04 GMC Envoy for an 03 Silverado with Quadrasteer. Any one here have Quadrasteer or had a TV with it. I have been reading up on it, and it says backing a trailer is easier with, but it seems to me that it would make it harder. Seems like it would make the TT turn sharper and faster the it normally would. Thanks in advanced

RE: Ever been snubbed or ashamed because of your RV?

We have an 08 Jayco Jayflight 19bh....the first time we took it out, we hade several people comment on how nice it was. They wanted to know how much it weight, as they saw we were pulling t with a midsize SUV. They asked how much it was...were we got it, etc. So there was no way in the world we felt snubbed. My mother in law was camping next to us and she got all huffy and puffy because no one asked about their camper...LOL Bottom line...get what you can afford, weather it be a tent or a $300k+ Class A, enjoy it and treat others as you want to be treated.

RE: Private campground

We have an aluminum table from Cabela's. It has 2 padded bench seats...enough room for 4 people. The table folds up into the seats...and it all hooks together and makes a small suitcase. Pretty easy to carry, and very handy. Also we always cook outside. Never have used the stoe or oven in our TT..or the pop up we used to have. Didnt want to have the hastle of cleaning the stove, plus grease and what not splatering all over the place. We have a small charcol grill and a small gas grill that we bought at Wally World. We just hook the gas grill up to one of the dual propane tanks and cook that way. We also bought some large plastic totes that we carry the grills in. That way anything you might have missed when cleaning them gets caught in the totes. They also fit perfectly between the table and seat backs on our dinette.
